Hingham Girls Softball - Winter/Spring Training Clinic with Julia Ludvigsen

Hingham Girls Softball is offering the opportunity to get a big lead on the softball season!  Clinics are open to grades 3 through 8 and will cover hitting, fielding and conditioning.  HGS is excited to offer these professional-led clinics (see background below) to teach our girls the fundamentals of the game and get in shape for the season.  

  • There will be a total of 8 Sessions offered on the dates/times below
  • Two 1-hour sessions will be held on Saturdays at 2 pm (beginner) & 3 pm (advanced)
  • Players will be grouped based on experience level and registration response*
  • Cost per player is $150 and includes an HGS practice shirt
  • Location: 293 Libbey Industrial Pkwy #450, Weymouth – 12-minute drive from Hingham
  • Dates: 2/3, 2/10, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31 & 4/7


*Groups will be limited to 15 girls per session. 


  • Payment can be made online via the registration or by bringing a check to the first session.  Please make check payable to Hingham Girls Softball
  • Registration is only available until Wednesday, January 31st
  • Please indicate grade and experience level on the registration


Instructor / Coach Background

Julia Ludvigsen began playing softball at a junior Olympic level when she was just 8 years old. Along with playing on the junior Olympic teams she also played at Thayer Academy High School, Suffolk University and ended her career at Northeastern University due to injury. She has won many awards including All-American, All-League, MVP and Rookie of the Year. Julia began her coaching career 4 years ago when she coached a U12 junior Olympic team. Currently, she conducts clinics and private lessons for girls of all levels to work on conditioning and fundamentals of the game to help them develop into the best player possible.

Welcome To Hingham Girls Softball

HGS encourages all girls, grades K-8, to participate in this fun and exciting organization.  We provide players at all ages and skill levels an opportunity to play on a team that is right for them.

Our Recreational League (GALS) stresses learning, fundamentals, equal playing time and fun.

The Travel League is more time consuming, competitive and competes against the best young athletes on the South Shore.
